I want you to think about something or someone in your life that you love. For parents it's simple, my kids, right? Hold that thought for a second.

Welcome to Soldier for Christ.

I can still see it in my mind. I think it was late in the fist half of the game. My oldest son was in High school at the time. He had started a new school and the team was new. The opposing team was about to punt the ball away from I want to say our ten yard line. THE PUNT WAS BLOCKED, the ball popped up in the air. My Son caught the ball and ran it in for the his first ever touchdown. Not only that but the first defensive touch down for this new team for this new school. A historic moment! It was awesome!

Why do I tell you this story? Well, it's an amazing story. I am very proud of my Son and so I want to tell his story so others will be proud also. It's the same with God. With Christ. Consider Paul's words from the book of Romans.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. -Romans 10:10

It is with our hearts that we believe. We believe that God so loved us that he sent his Son Jesus to this world to suffer and die on the cross so that we could be forgiven and have an advocate for us. That who ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life with Him. (LOWER THIRD: John 3:16)

This gift of forgiveness should fill us with awe and wonder and gratitude. This is why we profess, we share we spread our joy and our faith with our mouths, with our written words, with our videos so we may share with others this profound joy and peace that comes with accepting the love that comes from the Father and the Son.
