Every day we get up we look at our day and we see all the things we have to do. All the things we have to get done. We place a priority on each of these and set our task list for the day. Then we jump in and join the "rat race" as it were. But is the rat race the race we should be running?
Welcome to Soldier for Christ.
We are all looking for... Something. We get up each morning looking for meaning and a purpose. We jump into the race of the day to try to make a difference in some small way.
In Acts 20 Paul is letting the elders of Ephesus know that he is going to Jerusalem. He has no idea what will happen to him when he gets there but he does know that each time the Holy Spirit has warned him about the hardships he will face. But he goes. He tells them.
I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. -Acts 20:24
Admittedly I don't think I have that kind of courage. You? If someone told you that if you went down the street today that you would be locked up, put in prison, beaten. Solely for your beliefs would you go? I like to think I would still go but I don't know.
It seems human nature to value our lives but Paul says his life is worth nothing if he can not do what Jesus had asked him. This is testimony to the strength of his faith. He only want to spread the good news. A direct response to The Great Commission. (INSERT VERSE IN LOWER THIRD)

Can I say the same? Can you?
Press on. Fight the good fight. As a So4ldier for Christ.
