Welcome to Soldier for Christ.

Today’s video may lose a some of you because I want to relate to all the parents out there. If you do not have children you will still get my point, I hope however if you have kids, and I don’t mean to sound insensitive, but when you have kids of your own, something... changes. You really understand what it means to do anything for someone.

See, parents want the best for their children. And they want their children to do and be better than they ever were. We want so much for them it can hurt sometimes.

This is how much our Father in Heaven loves us.

Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. -John 1:12

That’s right. When you believed in Him you became a child of God. And if we love our own kids so much we would do almost anything for them, how much more would the God of all do for us?

And now as any parent will tell you just because we love our children unconditionally and with all that we are does not mean that we just do everything for them and give them whatever they want. No. We guide them, teach them. Sometimes with lessons they don't always understand at the time. But with age and wisdom the reasoning becomes clear.

Again, this is the same with God. Sometimes the lessons we learn are painful and we don’t or can’t understand why He would allow us to go through something like whatever it may be. But that's only because we can’t see what he is teaching us, sometimes until decades later. When we have our own kids.

And so we believe in Him. Trust in Him. To guide us and lead us on the path of righteousness, the path that would lead us on the journey He has in store. We have to learn lessons on this path. Just remember that He loves you and only wants the best. Because you are child of God. He gave you the right to become children of God when you believed.

That's an amazing thing.
