Conqueror

Are you a conqueror? Are you more than? Welcome to Soldier for Christ.

The book of Romans is one of those books in the Bible you can read over and over and just never tire of it. There are so many things in that book that just comfort and encourage and provide hope.

And the verse I want to look at today is one of them. Now it may not be the most quoted but when you look at it in context it provides great hope.

In chapter eight Paul is talking about the suffering that people are going through. At one point he even likens it by saying that all of creating is in the pains of childbirth and then goes on to quote another scripture by saying that we face death all day long are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.

Whoa!

Paul is saying that we are like sheep to be slaughtered or are to suffer as if giving birth and now here I am saying that there is a verse that’s going to give me hope from these things?

Yes.

in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. -Romans 8:37

More than conquerors. To conqueror means to defeat, to overcome. If we are more than conquerors then defeating and or overcoming these issues in life will be a cake walk. How do I know that? Because He loves us. And if God is for us, who can be against us? Because no one or no thing can separate us from the love of Christ.

We are more than conquerors!
