Hero By Faith 2 of 10

Welcome to Soldier for Christ. Today we take a look at episode two of the show Hero By Faith from Regardless Productions. If you have not already, please click over, watch the episode and them come back here. There are spoilers ahead. You have been warned.

I am going to assume you have watched episode two. If you didn’t, last chance before I spoil it.

In this episode we meet Devlin Grant. A preacher at a small church. He very quickly receives some bad news. His wife and unborn child have been killed when she hit someone. He is devastated and breaks down. It's a brief episode and the intent is for us to meet this pastor. What you don’t see here is a scene that was cut from the script and not filmed. In that scene Devlin is racing to the hospital. His is furious and blaming God asking why this had happened to him. Why God is punishing him. He loses sight of what is going on and his place in it. We can do that ourselves if we are not careful.

When tragedy comes our way we tend to shift the focus, the blame on others. What we should do in those times is to lean into God. Lean into the loving arms of the Father and draw closer to Him. We need to…

This is not always easy. We as humans are weak by nature and when we try to do everything ourselves we tend to fail quit often. It's only when we rely on God and trust in his plan that we can find success.
