Hero By Faith 5 of 10

Welcome to Soldier for Christ. Today we reach the mid-point in our look at the web series Hero By Faith from Regardless Productions. Episode 5 is titled Granting of Powers. This is a play on the character's name Devlin Grant and it eludes to what may or may not happen in the episode.

As with each of the videos in this study I will pause here to say if you have not watched it yet, click over and do so. Things are heating up in the series and this is a good one. Consider this your spoiler warning.

Wow! Did he say yes there at the end? Did Devlin Grant just have powers granted to him?

How would I do in that kind of situation? How would you?

Here is what we need to realize…

Yeah, you heard me. You have the authority to overcome all the power of the enemy. You have that authority, you only need to use it.

In the video for today, Devlin has lost sight of this. He has become nearsighted and chosen what is right there trying to do things on his own, for himself. He has lost sight of who and whos he is and why he does what he does. Satan played into this fear and his wants to turn him away from Jesus. It's the same with us.

Satan plays us. He uses our fears and our self-centeredness to lure us into temptation and puts what we think we need just out of reach. He would never truly let us win.

We need to remember what God has done for us…

When we trust God and look to Jesus we can confidently stand up to all forms of evil and know that not only will we overcome but that no harm will come to us.

You… have that authority. You… have the God of angel armies on your side. Knowing that should make it extremely easy to…
