His faith in Christ. Oh. Spoilers!

His faith in Christ gave him powers. For the sake of this show, yes it did. He moved the pages of the bible, he stood up!

* Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your father in heaven may forgive you your sins. -Mark 11:24-25

A quick episode this sets up the big finish coming next week. We know that the big bad has tracked him down and now knows who he is. We also now know that Derrick's faith in Christ has given him great powers.

What power has your faith given you? Are you able to forgive people in a single prayer? Hit your knees faster than a speeding bullet to pray? We should all think to turn to our Father in Heaven first for any and every blessing or issue that comes our way. All too often we try to handle it ourselves. I am guilty of this myself.

I know that he has told me that wherever I ask for it will be mine, If I believe I have received it. And I do, I believe. That’s not the issue. The issues is for me, as I suspect it is for most of us is that we do not feel we deserve it. And that is a lack of faith.
