Hero By Faith 10 of 10

Welcome to Soldier for Christ. I really want to thank you for sticking with me through this series. Hero By Faith was a show that meant and means a lot to me. In fact, we are working on a new feature length film by the same name based on the series. But I digress.

Today we watch the season finally of the show Hero By Faith from Regardless Productions. Again, if you have not already watched it, please click over and do so now. There are major spoilers ahead.

WHAT!?! I know what you're thinking. What happened? What is the mission?

We also finally got to officially meet the man in white. If you noticed throughout the season he would pop up here and there.

Derrick had finally come into his faith and was beginning to show some powers. He was learning a lesson we all need to know.

* Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life. You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes: with your right hand you save me. -Psalm 138:7

Buy, you say, his wife. She died…

Did she?

And even if she did, as the angel tells him it was unavoidable. There are some things in life that we just can understand why they happen. It's like the ice cream analogy from episode 8's video. Our little 3 pound brains cannot fathom nor understand the things that God does. We are all down here playing checkers and he is playing Chess. It's the long game man.

But he has told us that we can rely on Him that he will protect us.

* You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. -Psalm 91:5-6

The catch to this, I believe is that we must first believe in him. We must trust him and take him at his word. Derrick was finally doing that in the end until his faith was shaken by an event that he could not understand. I wonder what the outcome will be?

Who knows, maybe when the feature film version of this comes out some of these questions will have answers.
