You ever come across a verse and it just slaps you in the face? I know I have read the book of Colossians before. I have probably heard this verse multiple times. But a side effect of reading the living word of God is that each time you read a verse it can speak to you in a different way. And that happened to me here with this one. Colossians chapter 1 verse 21 through 22…
* 21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation -Colossians 1:21-22
I hit that verse and stopped cold. Read it again. Then I wrote it down on paper. Then I made a note and thought I just had to tell you guys about it.
This was soo me. I felt isolated from God. I have sin in my life and so in my mind, I was cut of from God. Isolated. Alienated. Alone.
But! And this is key. We have been reconciled by Christ when he went to the cross. He was the perfect sacrifice and now he presents us to God clean. Without blemish. The stains of sin gone. Washed away. We don’t have to be far from God anymore.
Did that verse just slap ya in the face?
Press on. Fight the good fight. As a Soldier for Christ.
