God's Got This

Reading the living word of God will never let you down. It will continually surprise you and give you exactly the answers you need, exactly hen you need them. You just have to read and listen. Today’s verse is another one of those that really opened my eyes and while I still struggle with letting go I have to remind myself that God’s got this. The verse is Romans 14:4

* 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall.

And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand. -Romans 14:4 NIV

But this was not what got me. I was at a mens summit earlier this year and I hard that same verse but from the Message version of the bible. Listen to that verse again in this version..

* If there are corrections to be made or manners to be learned, God can handle that without your help. -Romans 14:4 MSG

Are you okay? You need a sec to get up of the floor? I did. I was so caught up in the “...if they would just listen to me everything would be so much better.” “If they would just do this instead of that live would turn out better.” As if somehow I have control over what a persons life will be. This verse reminded me that GOD, not me but God, had a purpose for each of us. He has a plan for each of us. How we get to that is not up to me. God puts things in our lives that will grow us, make us stronger and who am I to say what is or is not right for someone else? No ne. God does not need me to make those plans for him. God’s got this! God has a plan and it is HIS plan. His perfect plan for each of us. If that plan includes bumps along the way, that’s for God and will ultimately prepare us for the next road, the next mission and the next purpose. God can handle it without my help. God’s got this!
