10 Commandments - #8

Rocket Raccoon just does not seem to get it huh? He really wants it more then the other guy.

* And God spoke all these words: -Exodus 20:1

* You shall not steal. -Exodus 20:15

Seems kind of straight forward. If it is not yours. Don’t take it.

I really don’t know how to expand on that one. Seems kind of straight forward.

Does it belong to you? No. No?

Then don’t take it.

But, what if someone steals from you?

* if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. -Luke 6:30

Whaaat? You heard him.

* If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. -Matthew 5:40

Whaaaaaaaaat? That’s right. Both of those say, don’t take what is not yours. All to often these days more and more people want something for nothing. But that is not how it works. If you want something, you have to work for it.

If it is not yours. Don’t take it. You shall not steal. Not much else to say on the matter.
