Now that we have taken our first step and put our trust in God to lead us we need to know what our mission is.
The Great Commission.
In Matthew 28: 19-20 he gave us this charge.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
And he also said in Matt 4:19-20 19 “Come, follow me,”Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.
This is why I started this mission, the mission of being a Soldier for Christ.
Jesus is the Son of God and as such when he came here he was given "all authority" by the Father. He came here with the power to do whatever needed to be done.
He chose to be loving and kind and full of mercy and grace.
But he could not stay here. There was a price to be paid and he had to pay it and go home. So he asked us to continue in his good work.
To tell people.
To Baptize them and to
Teach them to Love.
God is Love. And that’s a wonderful thing. He loves us so much that He had His Son pay the ultimate price for us. So that we could be forgiven and have the confidence to come to Him. So that when He calls us we can be assured that we will be welcomed with open arms.
He is with us.
He is not just with us in the good times. He is also with us in the bad.
He is not just with us sometimes. He is with us Always! Even until the end of the world.
That’s saying that no matter what you do, where you are He will always be there with you and more importantly, FOR you.
Yes, bad things happen and we cant understand why, but that’s ok. He understands and he knows the end game.
Trust Him to know what's best for you. Trust that He is for you.
He is for You. Rest in that knowledge and know that He is there for you. He is waiting. If you have something you are struggling with just go to Him. Tell him what's up and you will be surprised at how he responds. I know I was.
Jesus says In John 15:5 Jesus says
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
So It's in his name that we try to reach that one person, to bear fruit.
So if you have questions, turn to him. Accept his grace, His love, His mercy, accept Him. and when you do...
Acts 1:8 says you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Read Jerusalem as your home country.
Read Judea as your home state.
Read Samaria as your home town.
Read ends of the earth as you will have no limits to the people you can reach.
To the good you can do.
It's a mission we must undertake, but we have the God of Angel Armies on our side.
Press on and fight the good fight as a Soldier for Christ!
