Year One - Extended

One Year. It is still hard to believe it's been a year. Those first five videos were a real leap of faith for me.

Starting this show and maintaining it has been rewarding in it's own special way. And to look back and see how it's grown. WOW!

When I made the first few it was just me and the camera. Now? Now I have a full setup to help make the videos as high quality as possible. As part of this special episode you saw the setup process at the beginning of this episode and you will see what happens when the camera stops rolling at the end of this one as well. All the way through posting it online.

Along with building out the equipment used to make this show there is an official Soldier For Christ web page. On the website you can subscribe to the monthly newsletter and easily watch past episodes. If you have not subscribed to the newsletter I encourage you to do so. There is a Boot camp tab with the first five videos that outline what the show is all about. You can also contact me from that site with questions about the show, comments, or prayer request.

We also have the YouTube page where you can subscribe and be the first to see the episodes as soon as they are published.

And of course there is the Facebook page. It has proven to be the primary way of spreading these videos.

And there is more coming, I have a few ides that God willing will help spread the word about Christ. That is after all what this is all about. it's why I don't use my name in the videos, not that I am hiding who I am, just that it's not about me. It's about Jesus. It's about the sacrifice he made. It's about his love for us. It's about following his command to go and tell. He gave us this great commission in Matthew chapter 28...

*Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” -Matthew 28:18-20

And in the vain of going out and spreading the word, I am announcing today that the show is going to take a break. Running it for a full year has been an awesome experience. I have a couple of other ideas that I have been kicking around and one I have even started. I am going to put the show on hiatus while I pursue those avenues to see where they may lead. That is not to say that when time permits I will not post one every now and then, the show is not going away, Soldier for Christ is not going away. it just will not be weekly. For now.

To everyone that has watched and shared the show I say Thank You! If something I have said in these past 52 shows has helped even one person then it was all worth it. And I can tell you with absolute certainty that it has helped at least one. Me. Writing each episode was a great way for me to spend some extra time with Him and to study his word.

So as I move into this next mission I want to ask a favor of all of you.

* Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel -Ephesians 6:19
