You ever have one of those days when you just don’t want to get out of bed? A day when you are just feeling completely down in the dumps?
I have those days. We all have those days.
It is on days like that when it helps to remember the birds.
The Birds? Yes, The birds.
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? - Matthew 6:26
So if he provides for the birds, why wouldn’t he provide for you. He cares for them, why wouldn’t he care for you?
The good news is that he does! He does care for you! And what's even better is that he choose you.
1st Peter 2:9 says But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
God's special possession. He chose you and he loves you. You can take great delight in the knowledge that he is with you because you are his special son or daughter.
In John 15:16 he told us, You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit - fruit that will last - and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
You only need to turn to him and he will embrace you.
You only need to go to him and he will take the worries of today.
He will help you get through that tough day.
You only need to ask in his name.
He did it for the birds!
Now go, bear fruit.
