Prosper

As the new year kicks off and we plan for what's next it can sometimes be daunting and scary just not knowing what to expect. But if we put our trust in God and follow his plan for us things will smooth out and all those things you were worried about just seem to kind of go away.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. -Jeremiah 29:11

So we know he is for us. He has plans and a purpose for our lives. Plans to help us grow, and to do good. He did not send us here to fail. He wants us to succeed and be prosperous. But when we reject and refuse his will it's like we are trying to swim upstream. It's difficult and life can become hard. If we only let go and follow him things work out. We have to learn to Not sweat the small stuff. A friend of mine use to say that all the time.

Don’t sweat the small stuff.

So take time to listen to what God is telling you. You will find that when you listen he will speak to you. And he will let you know what you should do.

You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. -Psalms 16:11

So as the new year starts, make it a point to have some quiet time each day to just sit and be with God, listen to what he is telling you and don’t sweat the small stuff.

I pray that this new year will be prosperous one.
