Endure

Endurance. Ask any athlete and they can tell you about endurance. About working through the struggle to get to the goal. About the effort it takes to master the game. Being a soldier for Christ has it's own set of challenges. 1 Corinthians 4:12 (NIV) We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it. Jesus endured a lot during his time here on earth. He faced ridicule and insults daily. He was tested at every turn and then in the end He endured the Cross to grant us a gift we would never repay. And that was the point. Hebrews 12: 1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

And he endured that cross so that we could be forgiven and have the promise to share in that Joy when he calls us home. And until that day we must endure. Hebrews 12:7 (NIV)

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?

And what father does not love their children?

Endure. Press on. Fight the good fight, as a Soldier for Christ.
