So gentlemen, I hope you were prepared for Valentine's day! No? Dont worry about it. Love does not require flowers and chocolate, i mean they help, but they are not required. One thing talked about over and over again in the Bible is love. It's the primary commandment that Jesus gave us.
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. -John 13: 34-35
But what is it? Well...
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. -1st Corinthians 13:4-7
and ya know what...
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8
So move forward this new week with Love in your heart. Go boldly with no fear because...
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. -1 John 4: 18
Trust God to lead you through. Trust that he will because He loves you. Soo much. Trust that his love will not leave you.
But I trust in your unfailing love; -Psalm 13:5
Press on. Fight the good fight. As a soldier for Christ.
