Remember

Today is Memorial day and from this Soldier for Christ to all who have served, to all who are serving and to all those who will. Thank you!

Do you remember that one time that you did that thing? You know. At that place with that guy. Man that was something. Right? Remember? How about that other time?

Ya know not everything is worth remembering. I can say for sure there are a number of items in my rear view that I would like to forget. And while I remember those I also remember the good. The times when God blessed me far beyond what I deserved.

I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. -Psalm 77:11

I think it can be a good thing to remember the times when we were down. Because we can look back and see just how far God has lifted us. And that becomes a testament to His glory and His Love for us! And when we reconcile ourselves to God we know that he will welcome us with open loving arms.

For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more. -Hebrews 8:12

And when we know that He has forgiven our past we can move on with our future and the plan he has in store for us. Plans to prosper us. And then we want to tell others and spread the good news about his promise. Which is also important to remember.

And this is what he promised us - Eternal life. -1 John 2:25

So don't forget it!
