We are told over and over in the bible to watch out and that we are watched over. Some of them are kind of scary. In Psalms it says

They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps hoping to take my life -Psalm 56:6

But it also goes on to reassure us of Gods promise.

The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life -Psalm 121:7

As Christians we believe that. That He is with us and watching over us all the time. We have put our faith and trust in Him to lead us and protect us. But there are adversaries that would pull us from Him that would try to make us stray from the path, so he warned us to watch out. To...

Watch out that no one deceives you. -Matthew 24:4

And that old devil will try to do just that. He will try to get you to turn away from God and to turn your back on all you know to be good and right. We have to fight this fight every day. It's not always easy. But we have to keep watch because we don't know. We don't know who the devil may be using to try to deceive us, what the devil may be putting in front of us to try to turn us away. To try to make it so that we are not ready for when he comes back.

Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. -Matthew 24:42

So until that day. Keep watch. Stay true, keep your faith and trust in the Lord. In your Savior Jesus. Who paid the ultimate price for all of us.

But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wit for God my Savior; my God will hear me. - Micah 7:7
