Sometimes life hurts. Sometimes you just feel like staying in bed and sleeping all day. Sometimes the fight out there is just overwhelming and doesn't seem worth it.

We are hard pressed on every side,

but not crushed;

perplexed,

but not in despair;

persecuted,

but not abandoned;

struck down,

but not destroyed. -2nd Corinthians 4:8-9

I know I have said it before but with this topic it still rings true. He didnt promise us an easy trouble free life. We will be hard pressed. We will be perplexed and persecuted. We will be struck down. But we will also not be crushed, not be in despair and not be abandoned. W will not be destroyed. Jesus is for us. And if our God is for us... Who can stand against?

News about him (Jesus) spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed;

and he healed them. -Matthew 4:24

Out time on this world is short. But he has promised those who believe in him, those that trust in him and eternal glory. He has told us that...

‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes.

There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain,

for the old order of things has passed away.” -Revelations 21:4

We will not have it easy in this world. We will face trials of many kinds but that's okay. We know who goes before us and we know who stands behind us. We are friends with the one that reigns forever. We have the God of angel armies on our side.

So Press on.
